Ghinis are an enemy resembling a ghost that first appeared in Zelda 1.

Zelda 1

Ghinis are found in the graveyard at the western region of Hyrule. They float around the area and occasionally stop in place. One Ghini inhabits each section of the graveyard by default, but another Ghini appears each time a tombstone is touched, allowing for an additional 11 Ghinis to appear. The original Ghini can be defeated with any item, while the Ghinis from the tombstones cannot be attacked or defeated in any way. The original Ghini has very high health, requiring several hits to be defeated. If the original Ghini is defeated, all other Ghinis will also disappear. Ghinis can still appear from tombstones after the original has been defeated.

Ghini
"The ghost who lives in the graveyard. There are two types. There are Ghinis who are there from the beginning of the game, and those who appear when Link touches the gravestones. Ghinis have about the same attacking force as Armos."
